These scales are designed and tested to fit only authentic Benchmade and not clones or counterfeits. Please only order if you are sure about the authenticity of your benchmade as returns are not accepted.
Installation of the scales requires disassembly of your knife. Please don't purchase if you're not comfortable with your ability to complete this process. Videos can be found online to aid in the process.
A small amount of threadlocker should be present on each screw. Cleaning the screws and applying fresh removable threadlocker is recommended upon reassembly.
Acrylic Laminated Shell Veneer Scales A.L.V.S is produced by stacking multiple layers of Colored Acrylic, Real Shell, and Clear Acrylic.
While Acrylic does polish to close to glass clarity it's not as durable as other scale material and not very rigid like G10 or Carbon Fiber. It will hold up great to everyday pocket carrying. Cracking of the acrylic could occur if a corner of the scale was dropped on to a hard surface or if any screws are tightened excessively.
